Advance Reservations are Recommended.

Tickets may be purchased at the door if available.

All reservations must be secured with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express and tickets may be picked up at the Box Office. There is a $4.50 charge for mailing tickets.

All sales are final and will be charged at the time the reservation is made. Show times may vary from production to production. For specifics dates and times, please contact our Box Office.

 

 

A preservation fee of $1.50 is added to each ticket. The money raised through the Preservation Fee is used specifically to improve Historic Barter Theatre and Stage II for the comfort and enjoyment of our patrons.

Discounts:

  • Student Discounts (ages 5-18)- Barter Theatre always offers student pricing, ask your Box Office attendant for details.
  • Student Nights- $12 tickets are available in advance or at the door the first Thursday night of each performance.
  • Student Rush (with Student ID) - $12 tickets, as available 15 minutes prior to any show.
  • Senior, Military, AAA discounts - $2 off the normal ticket price for any performance.

Multiple Discounts are not allowed.  DISCOUNTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE.  PLEASE CALL THE BOX OFFICE AT 276-628-3991 FOR DISCOUNTS.

Groups:

Any group of 15 or more qualifies for special rates. Plan a trip for your family reunion, birthday, office party, school group or just 15 of your favorite people. Ask about special group activities. Restrictions:

The operation of cameras, video cassette recorders and other recording devices is strictly prohibited during all performances at Barter Theatre and Barter Stage II. Children under five not admitted, except to The Barter Players’ productions. No babes in arms.

Smoking policy:

Barter Theatre and Barter Stage II are smoke-free buildings. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the buildings. Airflow of the theatre is designed so that any smoking that may be necessary on stage is immediately filtered out of the building and is not recycled into the air of the auditorium. Smoking by actors may be appropriate for the accurate portrayal of individual characters or the truthful telling of the story and is not intended to be construed as approval or glorification of the behavior of smoking.

Late Seating Policy:

For the convenience of patrons who arrived on time and for the safety of those arriving late, latecomers will be seated in the balcony, if seats are available, at an appropriate interval at the discretion of the House Manager.

Hear Every Word:

Free FM Phonic headphones are available on request for the hearing impaired patrons at the Gift Shop.

Inclement Weather:

Barter Theatre performances are never cancelled due to weather conditions. The plays will be presented on schedule, not to be delayed by rain, sleet or snow.
