An Interview with Director Mary Lucy Bivins 1) Why do you think Miracle on 34th Street is so popular? --I think everyone wants to believe in miracles and wants to have something to hope for. 2) Why is this show still relevant? --It is even more important today that stories offer hope and belief and the possibility of miracles. The world has gotten crazier and more synical. 3) Why is Barter so special at Christmas? --Tradition--We hope people will enjoy celebrating the holiday season with plays, and they look forward to it each year. It has become a tradition to get together with family and come to Barter! 4) Why should audiences come to see Miracle on 34th Street? --It is a story that makes you feel good about hope, miracles and fellow man.more >

A Family Holiday Tradition A favorite holiday tale by Valentine Davies, made famous by the movie of the same name. It's the story of the year as Kris Kringle - aka Santa Claus - goes on trial, Macy's becomes the friendly store to shop, two lost souls find each other and a little girl discovers her childhood through her belief in miracles.
