Director's Notes

Thoughts on…Holiday Memories Memories in Focus What do you remember about your holidays as a child? If you are like me, you can remember an inordinate amount of smells, sights and specifics about your childhood around the holidays. It seems our memories capture that time of year almost better than any other time. And even though each of us has our own way of celebrating, some things ring true for us: we remember our relatives (the strange and wonderful) gathering, the smells of the baking (the spices and aromas), the look of the bare branches out the window (the lonely and beautiful), and even more private things like lying awake in the starry night, unable to sleep.more >
