What is The Porterfield Society?

Members of The Porterfield Society provide permanent and lasting support of Barter Theatre through deferred gift planning. Barter’s future is made secure through such gifts which help create “a community of tradition, a sense of a link between the generations,” as Barter’s founder, Robert Porterfield, so aptly expressed.

How Can I Become a Member?

Gifts to The Porterfield Society include:
Bequests by will or trust
Contributions of real estate
Beneficiary designations of life insurance policies and retirement accounts
Gifts providing lifetime income (such as charitable gifts).

For more information on how you can provide future generations with the Barter experience, please contact our Director of Advancement & External Affairs, Jackie Blevins at either jblevins@bartertheatre.com, or by calling 276-619-3303.
