Since 1933, Barter Theatre has defied the odds as the nation’s longest-running professional theatre, located in Abingdon, VA, in the heart of Appalachia. Barter’s Resident Company employs professional union actors & stage managers year-round. Thanks to Barter, we raise families here, pay taxes, and are committed members of our local community.
But COVID-19 has closed our doors and now our livelihoods are at stake. We created this video ourselves to make sure you don’t forget about us!
