Halloween at the Moonlite

ABINGDON, Va.—Barter Theatre announced plans today for their Halloween at the Moonlite event. 

 

For the first time since moving to the historic Moonlite Drive In Barter Theatre will offer double features, just in time for Halloween. The spooky and family-friendly musical, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will be followed by Dracula on both October 30th and 31st. Patrons may buy tickets for one or both performances and will be able to experience the Halloween ambiance, wear costumes, win prizes, and enjoy treats from the safety of their amply spaced parking spots at the Moonlite.

Barter Theatre, the nation’s longest running professional theatre, is located in Abingdon, Virginia. The theatre opened in 1933 during the Great Depression. Founder Robert Porterfield offered patrons admission to the theatre by bartering food and livestock. Barter Theatre was designated as the State Theatre of Virginia in 1946.
